About Meh.
Meh. was founded in 2019 on the observation that consumer electronics had come to promise more than any device can reasonably deliver. Most products are too enthusiastic. Most packaging contains too many exclamation points. Most features work.
Our response has been, in the years since, to produce sixteen consumer devices calibrated to underdeliver in specific and repeatable ways. Our customers report that these devices are comforting, in a way they had not expected. This is the core of what we do.
We are a small team. We take our work seriously. The products behave as specified, which is to say they behave slightly worse than one would hope.
Leadership

Desmond Ashcroft
Founder & Chief Disappointment Officer
Founded Meh. in 2019 after a long, increasingly disillusioning career in consumer electronics. Oversees all product direction. Rarely smiles. Never overpromises.

Roland Peveril
President of Lowered Expectations
Joined in 2020 from a senior role at a more aspirational company. Manages day-to-day operations and most things that Desmond prefers not to manage. Believed to own the company's only remaining enthusiasm.

Warren Ellsworth
VP of Affective Underdelivery
Leads the engineering team. Responsible for calibrating the precise shortfall in every device. Considers the work largely complete, though he maintains there is always further to go.

Julian Marlowe
Head of Ambient Sighs
Oversees the sound design of all auditory elements — the sighs, the ohs, the single soft tones. Formerly a voice actor. Prefers to work in silence.
